Who ever said little mature ladies are a push over certainly got it wrong. Eleven Ritzy Rosellas are now a force to be contended with after having had a lesson in self defence. Flee, daughter of Lady of Pleasure and granddaughter of Inspirational Princess Desiree, gave these game ladies a few hints on how to defend themselves. As well as a lot of laughter and giggles the ladies did pick up a few handy hints on how to try to get themselves out of sticky situations. As the photos show even though they all tried very hard it was difficult to keep a serious attitude. One certain Princess Snicklefritz definitly had a couple of attempts to disable her queen. Rascal, the queen's guard dog, gave up trying to ignore the fuss going on around him and decided to join in the fun. He was suitably attired but I don't think terribly impressed.

November means the Spring Racing Carnival for Melbournians. The Ritzy Rosellas celebrated Oaks Day with energy and enthusiasm. They donned their glam attire for a day of fun and laughter. The ladies drank champagne, and ate chicken and chocolate. Two horse races were held amid much laughter and giggles. The prize for winning the horse race was a silver cup for both the horse and the jockey. This cup overflowed with chocolate of course! The weather for the event was absolutely sparkling just like the champagne. Each lady picked out the name of a past Oaks Day winner and these names went into the hat for some more “races”. Winning horses picked out of the purple bucket had a choice of prizes to take home. When the actual race was held the ladies all watched with enthusiasm as they all had a horse to barrack for. One of the ladies was particularly excited that her horse won. Oaks Day was a fantastic event for all involved.
